Debbie Butera – Owner | Graphic Designer
Debbie is the founder of Butera Design and brings nearly 25 years of design experience to the company. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from California State University, Northridge and two years of post-graduate studies at California College of the Arts. Debbie uses her creative visual communication skills to add her own distinct flair to her projects. She enjoys the creative process and collaborating with her clients. She is very well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Debbie has won multiple awards for her work, and has had her early promotional work published in a book entitled The Graphic Artists Guide to Marketing and Self-Promotion.
Frank Butera – Software Engineer | Web Developer
Frank joined Butera Design in 2009 as our resident webmaster and database programmer. Having worked as a software engineer for HP for over 25 years, he brings not only expertise, but an excellent ability to solve complex programming problems and find creative solutions. He enjoys collaborating with his clients to find the best solutions for their projects. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from University of California, Santa Cruz.
His skill set includes: PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySQL and WordPress, among others.
Maurice Liang – Photographer | Author | Marketing Consultant
Maurice Liang is an award-winning photographer and published author. His photography has appeared in numerous publications, websites, and factory literature. He is author of two books; the Viper Buyers Guide and SRT Viper – America’s Supercar Returns. Working with Butera Design, he publishes Viper Quarterly, an award-winning automotive magazine. Maurice served as Director of Marketing at Hewlett-Packard, and is experienced in all aspects of marketing; business planning, product management, marketing communications, and advertising.
Our Approach
Butera Design’s approach is based on the philosophy that simple, creative and clever design is the best means of effectively communicating our clients goal. No part of the design is superfluous. Our process requires close collaboration with our client, where various concepts are generated, evaluated and selected by the group. The final design for each project is always original and unique.
